A full day of rally action courtesy of the Bolton-le-Moors Club will mark the first round of the 2025/26 Protyre Circuit Rally Championship, with a fantastic entry of rally favourites lined up. Last year’s champion, Michael Igoe, returns in his fantastically prepared Citroen C3 Rally2 and will be hoping to defend his title against a number of title hopefuls also competing in top-spec R5 and Rally2 machinery.

There’s also a superb selection of iconic rally racers making the journey to the Cheshire venue, with several Subaru Imprezas, Mitsubushi Evos and Mini Coopers competing. Expect to see some cult classics too, including a Lotus Sunbeam, a Peugeot 106 Rallye and a plethora of Ford Escorts.

Competitors will take on a series of bespoke stages, with Oulton Park transformed into 54 miles of rallying paradise. Parts of the venue not commonly used will be utilised, with challenging obstacles such as chicanes, areas of the circuit run in reverse and, of course, the event’s famous water splash providing plenty of thrills and spills.

Away from the track action, there’s a packed line-up of family fun too, including a free arts and crafts workshop, free face painting, a funfair and simulator experiences. The venue will also welcome a display of rally-inspired cars as well as modified vehicles with off-road flair.

And of course, once the rally has finished, spectacular ‘big bang’ fireworks will light up the night sky with one of the area’s best fireworks displays to round out another fantastic season in style.
