Hugo Cook topped the second session of the British GT Championship weekend at Oulton Park, setting a time of 1m32.857s for Barwell Motorsport, co-driven by Rob Collard.
He was the only driver that managed to lap the International circuit in fewer than 93 seconds, with the Optimum Motorsport McLaren of Morgan Tillbrook and Ben Barnicoat two tenths behind him in second.
Morning practice-toppers Simon Orange and Marcus Clutton managed third for Orange Racing by JMH, while another two Barwell cars followed them, with Jarrod Waberski and Alex Martin in fourth, and Duncan Cameron, who shares a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2 with Matt Griffin rounding out the top five.
Both Ben Green and Kevin Tse for 2 Seas Motorsport and Marc Warren and Jack Brown of Optimum Motorsport finished exactly where they did in the morning’s practice session with sixth and seventh respectively.
Mark Smith and Martin Plowman improved relative to Free Practice and were eighth, followed by Aaron Walker and Ian Loggie for 2 Seas Motorsport in ninth, and Cameron Campbell and Joshua Buchan in tenth.
Ian Duggan led the GT4 class for Toro Verde GT in his Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS, which he shares with Tom Bradshaw, with a time of 1m42.240. Jessica Hawkins and Will Orton trailed them by just 0.017s for MK Racing, setting up a tantalising affair heading into qualifying.
