Kyle Ryde topped the ZYN British Superbike Championship warm up session at Oulton Park ahead of today’s two races, pushing rival Bradley Ray from the leading position in the final 30 seconds of the session by 0.253s.
The times were constantly changing in the ten-minute session, with Glenn Irwin leading early on before Ray surged to the top of the times for McAMS Yamaha. Ryde was on a flying lap in the final 30 seconds, and was able to fire the Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing Ducati to the top.
Ryan Vickers moved up the order to third in the closing stages for Honda Racing UK ahead of Max Cook who bounced back from his crash yesterday to hold fourth position on the AJN Steelstock bimota.
Storm Stacey held fifth place despite a crash in the final minutes at Cascades as the Bathams AJN Racing Ducati team now face their own race to have the bike repaired for race two.
Scott Redding was sixth fastest for the Hager PBM Racing Team ahead of Joe Talbot and Leon Haslam, who completed the top eight contenders. Glenn Irwin and Rory Skinner rounded out the top ten ahead of race two.
