Nesbitt claims Omologato Pole Position in hectic Bandero Café Shoot Out Qualifying

04 October 2025

MasterMac Honda’s Charlie Nesbitt set the Omologato Pole Position by 0.053s in a hectic Bandero Café Shoot Out Qualifying session at Oulton Park ahead of the opening Bennetts British Superbike Championship race this afternoon.

As the track conditions continued to improve throughout the session, the times continued to tumble and the final flying laps changed the front row several times in the closing minute.

Nesbitt was one of the final riders to set his best lap and that gave him the marginal edge over Fraser Rogers who took his first front row start for TAG Honda. Storm Stacey was also in the mix for the Omologato Pole Position too and the Bathams AJN Racing BMW was able to hold third to complete the front row.

Bradley Ray will head the second row of the grid for Raceways Yamaha as he held off Tommy Bridewell, who had been at the top earlier in the session and Christian Iddon on the AJN Steelstock Kawasaki.

Kyle Ryde had been on the front row in third with less than a minute on the clock, but the championship leader will start in seventh place on the Nitrous Competitions Racing Yamaha as the final improvements shuffled him down the order.

Scott Swann was eighth fastest ahead of Luke Hedger, who had also enjoyed a spell at the top for the Whitecliffe CDH Racing Honda team, with Josh Brookes completing the top ten.
