Storm Stacey topped the opening Bennetts British Superbike Championship Free Practice session at Oulton Park as the Bathams AJN Racing BMW rider set the pace by 0.091s with his fastest time coming on the final lap of the session.
Stacey displaced Tommy Bridewell from the top after the Honda Racing UK rider had taken earlier the advantage from Christian Iddon in the closing minutes of the session, with Charlie Nesbitt also in close contention.
Leon Haslam was fifth fastest for the Moto Rapido Ducati Racing team ahead of Max Cook and the returning Luke Hedger on the Whitecliffe CDH Racing Honda. Scott Redding, Scott Swann and Davey Todd completed the top ten.
