Glenn Irwin continued his momentum at Oulton Park by topping the times in the final Bennetts British Superbike Championship ahead of eBay Qualifying and the BikeSocial Sprint Race this afternoon as we countdown to the first race in the Showdown.
Leon Haslam had been setting the initial benchmark in the session on the ROKiT BMW Motorrad, however in the closing five minutes, Irwin moved the BeerMonster Ducati ahead by 0.421s to maintain his positon at the top.
Haslam split the BeerMonster Ducati teammates, with championship leader Tommy Bridewell holding third place just ahead of Jason O'Halloran on the McAMS Yamaha and Josh Brookes completed the top five for FHO Racing BMW Motorrad.
Kyle Ryde, fresh from announcing his return with the LAMI OMG Racing Yamaha team for next season, was sixth fastest just ahead of his teammate Ryan Vickers. Peter Hickman, Lee Jackson and Luke Mossey completed the top ten.
