Oulton Park’s legendary Historic Gold Cup roars back this August Bank Holiday for three spectacular days of historic motorsport, heritage and family entertainment. Sunday and Monday headline the weekend, with packed programmes on and off the circuit.
The Historic Sports Car Club brings together machinery spanning generations, from pre-war Grand Prix icons and Formula 3 screamers to thundering Formula 5000, GT, touring and sports cars. Special celebrations honour Sir Jack Brabham and 60 years of Can-Am.
Away from the track, explore classic vehicle displays, the Cheshire Concours d’Esprit (on Sunday), an artisan market, motorsport exhibitions, an open paddock, free pit walk, and family attractions.

Knickerbrook
This is one of the most exciting spots on the whole Oulton Park circuit as the racers rapidly decelerate from the high speed Hill Top straight into a tricky little chicane.

Old Hall
Located at the end of the long start/finish straight, Old Hall provides high drama and tension at the start of the race plus overtaking attempts as the event progresses. You’ll also see duels take place on the run down the hill to Cascades.

Lodge
One of the slowest corners on the track, you’ll see plenty of passing attempts as the field heads out of the fast Druids corner and down the long straight. It’s also the final corner on the circuit, and the scene of many last lap dramas.

Derek Bell Trophy
For Formula 5000 and Formula 2 single-seaters built and raced between 1967 and 1979. This is the series for the more powerful cars with wings and slick racing tyres. It encompasses classes for Formula Atlantic and later Formula Three and Formula Ford 2000 cars.
Historic Grand Prix Cars Association
Featuring classically-modelled single-seater GP machines from the pre-slicks-and-wings era of the sport. The grid will feature a wonderful array of pre-1966 Grand Prix Cars both front and rear engine.
Vintage and Historic Seaman Trophies
Organised by Tom Hardman, in partnership with the VSCC, an exceptional grid of pre-war Grand Prix cars will include Maseratis, ERAs, Bugattis and an Alfa Romeo Monza. Entries are arriving from the UK, Europe and America.
Historic Formula 3
Making a welcomed return to the Gold Cup, Historic Formula 3 will feature these evocative ‘screamers’ that competed across the race tracks of Europe between 1964 and 1970.
Historic Formula Junior
The FJHRA Formula Junior Championships are booming, with huge worldwide interest in the category for up to 1100cc single-seater racing cars. Although Formula Junior only existed from 1958 to 1963, it continues to be one of the most popular of all historic racing categories.
500cc Historic F3
The 500 Owners Association Championship is for competitors participating in 500cc single seater racing cars which were built in the period 1946 to 1960.
Thundersports
The Thundersports Series is open to Sports Racing, GT and Touring Cars of a type that would have competed in the World Endurance Championship, FIA GT Championship, FIA 2 Litre Sports Car Championship or other International Competition up to 31st December 1979.
HSCC Alfa Romeo Championship
This grid will feature a selection of Italian classics with a pair of twenty-minute sprint races during the day.
Guards Trophy
The Guards Trophy Championship is contested by sports racing and GT cars from the 1960s.
CSCC JMC Racing Special Saloons & Modsports
Fire-breathing Special Saloons and Modsports join the Gold Cup line-up, courtesy of the Classic Sports Car Club. Expect an eclectic mix of some amazing machinery.
Historic Formula Ford
One of the most popular of the HSCC's single-seater categories, the Historic FF1600 Championship is for cars built and raced before 1972.
70s & Historic Roadsports
The Roadsports double header, is a melange of closely-matched sports cars across 70s and Historic timelines, which provided superb entertainment and resonate especially with the hundreds of classic car owners parked across the grassy escarpment overlooking Cascades and the Hislops to Knickerbrook chicane.
Brabham Celebration
The 2026 Gold Cup at Oulton Park will hold special significance as it celebrates the centenary of Sir Jack Brabham's birth, honoring both the 60th anniversary of his historic 1966 Formula 1 World Championship victory—the first and only title won in a car bearing his own name—and the six decades since his triumph in that very same race.
Can-Am 60th Anniversary
The Oulton Park Gold Cup will proudly host a spectacular 60th anniversary celebration of Can-Am this year. Iconic Can-Am cars will be on display throughout the entire weekend, giving fans the chance to get up close to these legendary machines. Adding to the excitement, the cars will also take to the circuit, bringing the thunder and spirit of Can-Am back to life on track. List of can be found here.
David Brabham Q&A - Monday 11:00
David Brabham joins us for a special Q&A celebrating the extraordinary life and motorsport legacy of his father, Sir Jack Brabham. Sharing personal memories, behind-the-scenes stories, and reflections on one of racing's greatest icons, David will also recount highlights from his own distinguished career, offering unique insight into life at the highest levels of international motorsport.
Cheshire Concours D'esprit - Sunday
On Sunday the Cheshire Concours d'Esprit will return to the Oulton Park Gold Cup, featuring a collection of extraordinary pre and post war sports-cars, each well used and with a fascinating story to tell. This is not a typical concours full of polished 'garage queens' - every one has character worthy of the description "spirited", with a unique story to tell.
Classic Car Displays - all weekend
Classic and vintage car clubs from around the country will make their way to Oulton Park to display their magnificent machinery. Applications are now Closed.
Artisan Market
Browse a fantastic selection of locally produced food, drink and handcrafted gifts at the Artisan Market. Featuring a variety of independent traders from across the region.
Cyclekarts GB
Cyclekarts are hand-built, lightweight machines inspired by pre-war racing cars. Watch them race from Friday afternoon through to Sunday! With an open paddock, get up close to the karts, chat with drivers, and enjoy the thrill of speed and craftsmanship. Don’t miss the action!
Vintage Tractors
The Gold Cup will feature a display of vintage tractors from the 20s through to the 70s. Owners will be around to offer more information and answer any of your questions.
The Oulton Park Exhibition
Relive the history of Oulton Park circuit in this one-of-a-kind art installation at the Gold Cup. There will be displays of art and photographs alongside the Gold Cup film that marked the 70th anniversary.
The Jim Clark Trust
The Jim Clark Trust will be showcasing an impressive collection of memorabilia from Jim Clark's illustrious racing career. Attendees can look forward to exploring a diverse array of items that celebrate the legacy of the legendary driver. In addition to the memorabilia, there will be a wide range of merchandise available for purchase.
Jim Clark Cortina Celebration
Alongside the Jim Clark Trust attendance, they will also be hosting a fantastic display of nine historic racing Ford Lotus Cortinas, many of which Jim raced himself.

Join us in the Tipi Tent for our free Arts & Crafts session! From painting to DIY crafts, there's something for everyone to explore and enjoy.
Simulator Experience
Perfect Acceleration will be in attendance with simulators for you to experience driving the Oulton Park circuit. Sessions are £15 per person. with a cash prize for the fast time!
Free Pit Walk
Meet all your favourite drivers during the official pit walk, which will take place during main Sunday raceday.
Open Race Paddock - All Weekend
The paddock is open to all, allowing you to stroll through the 100s of classic tin top and single seater racing cars before they take to the circuit
Trade Stands
A trade area will be in operation all weekend, with dealers and manufacturers represented, plus championship partners and stalls selling parts, accessories and driver and team merchandise.
Adventure Playground
Check out the Oulton Park adventure playground near to Chequers restaurant, which has equipment for children of all ages from toddler to 14.
Paid Funfair
The Oulton Park Fun Zone will offer a fairground with an assortment of exciting rides. Individual charges apply.
Free Parking
All general parking is free of charge. Blue badge holders may park free of charge inside the venue in the disabled parking and viewing area on the inside of Knickerbrook corner. If you hold a blue badge, please follow public signage for disabled parking, or speak to a member of staff upon arrival.

Hampson Auctions will be back for 2026, arranging a spectacular array of vehicles. Have a wander through the classic cars and motorbikes on Saturday and Sunday before the auction itself takes place on Monday.

Includes entrance ticket and shared admission to a Fogarty Moss suite with superb views of one of the most dramatic parts of the race circuit – along Dentons and Cascades. Includes a lunch basket, free race programme and televisions showing live timing.
Why not make a weekend of it and stay on-site at Oulton Park? We have a dedicated camping area with full facilities - just a short stroll from the racetrack.
The campsite opens at 12pm on Saturday 29 August and closes at 8pm on Monday 31 August.
Campers are welcome to stay on site until midday on Tuesday; however only limited facilities (just toilets and showers) will be provided beyond 8pm on Monday.
Please note you will need to be in possession of a valid weekend admission ticket/pass in addition to a camping ticket in order to gain access to the campsite.
