Oulton Park’s signature Historic Gold Cup returns for another glorious celebration of motor racing’s past, with three days of nostalgic entertainment. Saturday and Sunday will act as the showpiece race days, with a wide range of machinery from yesteryear on show.
The event will celebrate the 75th anniversary of Britain's first Formula One team, British Racing Motors (BRM). A collection of historic BRM Formula One cars from the 50s, 60s and 70s will form a key part of the event, with demonstrations, displays, and guest appearances.

The motor racing is overseen by the Historic Sports Car Club, with several guest categories, including Historic Grand Prix cars. The full line-up includes an eclectic range of single-seaters, GTs, tin tops and retro sports-racing cars.
There will also be an extensive off-track show centered around classic car displays. This will include the 10th anniversary of the Cheshire Concours.
Hampson Auctions will also be back for 2025, with another superb offering.

Grandstand InformationThis is one of the most exciting spots on the whole Oulton Park circuits as the cars rapidly decelerate from the high speed hill top straight into a tricky little chicane. This is one of the best overtaking spots on the circuit!

Located at the end of the long start/finish straight, Old Hall provides high drama and tension at the start of the race plus overtaking attempts as the event progresses. You’ll also see duels take place on the run down the hill to Cascades.

One of the slowest corners on the track, you’ll see plenty of passing attempts as the field heads out of the fast Druids corner and down the long straight. It’s also the final corner on the circuit, and the scene of many last lap dramas.

Featuring classically-modelled single-seater machines from the pre-slicks-and-wings era of the sport, this will hark back to a time when the International Gold Cup was a regular non-championship fixture on the annual F1 schedule.
For Formula 5000 and Formula 2 single-seaters built and raced between 1967 and 1979. This is the series for the more powerful cars with wings and slick racing tyres. It encompasses classes for Formula Atlantic and later Formula Three and Formula Ford 2000 cars.
The HRDC Gerry Marshall Trophy for pre-’83 GP.1 and Gp.1½ Touring Cars celebrates the intense battles of this era when the likes of Gerry Marshall, Tony Lanfranchi, Barrie Williams and a host of determined racers went head-to-head in the crowd-pleasing BTCC ‘Tin-Tops’ Series. Bellowing V8 Rovers stave off the 3-litre Capris, while Triumph Dolomites pitch battle with Ford Escorts, 1275GT Minis and rarities such as Opel Commodores.
Fire-breathing Special Saloons and Modsports join the Gold Cup line-up, courtesy of the Classic Sports Car Club. Expect an eclectic mix of some amazing machinery.
Making a welcomed return to the Gold Cup, Historic Formula 3 will feature these evocative ‘screamers’ that competed across the race tracks of Europe between 1964 and 1970.
The Ferrari Club Classic is an exciting multi-class racing series from the Ferrari Owners’ Club of Great Britain featuring a wide variety of Ferrari tipos including Mondials, 308s, 328s, 348s, 355s and more.
The FJHRA Formula Junior Championships are booming, with huge worldwide interest in the category for up to 1100cc single-seater racing cars. Although Formula Junior only existed from 1958 to 1963, it continues to be one of the most popular of all historic racing categories.
The HRDC Jack Sears Trophy for 1958-1966 tin-tops evokes the formative years of touring racing with thundering V8 Falcons, Mustangs and Galaxies battling nimble Lotus Cortinas, Alfa GTAs and pesky Mini Coopers and more.
The Vintage Sports-Car Club will bring two grids of classic cars from motor racing's pioneering earlier years to the Gold Cup.
The combined HRDC Dunlop Allstars for pre-’66 Sports, GT & Touring Cars and HRDC Classic Alfa Challenge for 750-116 Alfa Romeos will feature a variety of cars, capturing the atmosphere of ‘50s and ‘60s allcomers racing whilst celebrating an iconic marque.
The Guards Trophy Championship is contested by sports racing and GT cars from the 1960s.
Comprising a delightful range of historic production sports cars spanning three decades, from the 1955 drum braked Triumph TR2, to a 'modern’ transaxle Porsche 924. Altogether the grid is likely to feature a mouthwatering array of iconic and classic marques including Alfa Romeo, Datsun, Honda, Jaguar, Lotus, MG, Porsche and TVR.

The Cheshire Concours d'Esprit will return in 2025 for its 10th anniversary, featuring a collection of extraordinary pre and post war sports-cars, each well used and with a fascinating story to tell. This is not a typical concours full of polished 'garage queens' - every one has character worthy of the description "spirited", with a unique story to tell.
Britain’s first F1 team, British Racing Motors (BRM) will commemorate its 75th anniversary with a celebration at the Gold Cup. The Jim Clark Trust will be showcasing an impressive collection of memorabilia from Jim Clark's illustrious racing career. Attendees can look forward to exploring a diverse array of items that celebrate the legacy of the legendary driver. In addition to the memorabilia, there will be a wide range of merchandise available for purchase.
Relive the history of Oulton Park circuit in this one-of-a-kind art installation at the Gold Cup. There will be displays of art and photographs alongside BRM drawings, memorabilia, and the Gold Cup film that marked the 70th anniversary.
The ever-growing Youngtimers display will return for 2025. A curation of classic vehicles from the 1970s 80s and 90s will once again take centre stage!
Alongside the beautiful classic cars, hundreds of sports cars and supercars from more recent times will line the infield of Oulton Park, bringing together an amazing array of Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Jaguars and Porsches!
Cyclekarts are hand-built, lightweight machines inspired by pre-war racing cars. Watch them race from Friday afternoon through to Sunday! With an open paddock, get up close to the karts, chat with drivers, and enjoy the thrill of speed and craftsmanship. Don’t miss the action!
After a fantastic first appearance at the Gold Cup in 2024, the Cheshire Steamers will return, showcasing a remarkable display of miniature steam engines. Enthusiasts and visitors will have the unique opportunity to interact with the owners, who will be available to offer more information and answer any questions you may have.
The North West Vehicle Restoration Trust will be hosting a striking display of classic buses, meticulously restored to their former glory.
The Gold Cup will feature a display of vintage tractors from the 20s through to the 70s. Owners will be around to offer more information and answer any of your questions.
Perfect Acceleration will be in attendance with simulators for you to experience driving the Oulton Park circuit. Sessions are £10 per person. with a cash prize for the fast time!
Meet all your favourite drivers during the official pit walk, which will take place during main Sunday raceday.
The paddock is open to all, allowing you to stroll through the 100s of classic tin top and single seater racing cars before they take to the circuit
A trade area will be in operation all weekend, with dealers and manufacturers represented, plus championship partners and stalls selling parts, accessories and driver and team merchandise.
Check out the Oulton Park adventure playground near to Chequers restaurant, which has equipment for children of all ages from toddler to 14.
The Oulton Park Fun Zone will offer a fairground with an assortment of exciting rides. Individual charges apply.
All general parking is free of charge. Blue badge holders may park free of charge inside the venue in the disabled parking and viewing area on the inside of Knickerbrook corner. If you hold a blue badge, please follow public signage for disabled parking, or speak to a member of staff upon arrival.

Why not make a weekend of it and stay on-site at Oulton Park? We have a dedicated camping area with full facilities - just a short stroll from the racetrack.
The campsite opens at 12pm on Friday 25 July and closes at 8pm on Sunday 27 July.
Campers are welcome to stay on site until midday on Monday; however only limited facilities (just toilets and showers) will be provided beyond 8pm on Sunday.
Please note you will need to be in possession of a valid weekend admission ticket/pass in addition to a camping ticket in order to gain access to the campsite.
