British sports cars star at Oulton Park this Saturday (3 September) at the MG Car Club Championships.
One of the most hotly anticipated contests will be for the MG Trophy Championship, with a packed grid of evenly-matched MG hatchbacks, from the MG ZR to the brand new MG3. These front-wheel-drive machines are popular with aspiring tin top aces and have launched the careers of drivers such as Jack Goff, who now races in the BTCC.
Almost all of MG's rich heritage can be found in the MG Cup, with everything from T-Types through to Midgets, MGBs, Metros, Maestros, MGFs and much more.
The MG Metro Cup will look to pick up from where it left off at Mallory Park where exciting racing at the front saw Lee Connell concede his early lead to the charging Ben Rushworth, before reclaiming the position in time to see the chequered flag.
Other highlights include the penultimate round of the popular BCV8 Championship, featuring fully-modified V8 machines and the Porsche Club Championship.
The paddock will be open, allowing spectators to meet the teams and drivers and get a closer look at the machines as they're prepared for action. There will also be a track parade during the lunch hour.ADVANCE BOOKING HAS NOW CLOSED. TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE AT THE GATE.
