The Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship is the UK's biggest car racing championship, featuring bumper-to-bumper racing from highly-modified saloons and hatchbacks similar to those seen on the nation's roads.
Scotland's Gordon Shedden emerged champion from a five-way title fight last year, and he's defending his crown in the works Honda Civic Type R. But with seven different winners from the opening nine rounds it's team-mate Matt Neal who is joint championship leader along with WSR BMW's Rob Collard. Just three points behind is local hero Adam Morgan from Blackburn, and he'll be aiming to score well on home turf in his Mercedes.
Their challengers include 2013 champion Andrew Jordan and Mat Jackson in the fast Motorbase Fords, WSR's Sam Tordoff and Jack Goff, MG's young chargers Josh Cook and Ashley Sutton, and Tom Ingram, who drives a Toyota for Northwich's Speedworks team. Expect a resurgence from Subaru's Jason Plato and Colin Turkington after the short break since Thruxton, for both excel on the Cheshire circuit.
Oulton Park is loved by drivers and fans alike and for several years this has been the championship's most popular round of the year, with a huge crowd expected to line the Island circuit this June, providing a summer festival atmosphere!
The weekend also features supporting action from the Porsche Carrera Cup GB, Renault UK Clio Cup, Ginetta GT Supercup, Ginetta Juniors and MSA Formula.
