750 Motor Club Car Championships
Oulton Park (Island)
Saturday 02 April 2016

Oulton Park welcomes the 750 Motor Club Car Championships this Saturday (2 April), with an enthralling mix of saloon and sports cars in 11 races on the Island Circuit.

The action starts from 8:30am with the 5 Club Racing MX5 Cup qualifying sessions. This series is for examples of the original Mazda MX5, with tightly regulated rules designed to produce close racing.

Following a handful of warm up and qualifying sessions, the Protech Shocks Sport Specials Championship will kick off a busy race programme with a packed grid of Kit Cars including Caterhams and Westfields as well as one-off machines. All cars must use an engine from a production car, though modifications are allowed.

The ROC Bikesports Championship will be in action too, one of the best established motorbike bike engine prototype racing championships in the UK with a reputation for being highly competitive.

The increasingly popular Tegiwa Civic Cup is on the bill too, providing exciting one-make wheel-to-wheel entertainment from Japanese hatchbacks built between 1990 and 2013.

The action comes thick and fast after lunch with two races in the afternoon for the Disklok RGB Championship (roadgoing bike-engine cars) as well as a potentially intruiging CARTEK Roadsports Endurance race for tuned up production cars.

The paddock will be open throughout the event, allowing spectators to get closer to the cars as they're prepared for battle and meet the teams and drivers.
