One of the UK's greatest motoring icons will be celebrated at the second Oulton Park Mini Festival, with a bumper line-up of entertainment on and off the track. On-track entertainment will be provided by an all-Mini racing line-up, with all types of Mini set to star, from the original Austin Cooper S to the latest BMW incarnation.
Newer machines compete in the Power Maxed MINI Challenge, the fastest Mini racing series in the UK. For 2015, MINI Challenge is divided into two grids, one for the John Cooper Works Mini and the brand new Gen 3, which is the highest-spec UK tin-top available outside the BTCC, and one for the entry-level Cooper Class.
The classic Issigonis design is represented by the Mini Se7ens and Mini Miglias, two championships renowned for wheel-to-wheel action.
Other action includes the world-famous Russ Swift MINI Stunt Show, which showcases amazing drving talent and thrilling stunts in new versions of the MINI. Russ will perform at 10:15, 12:15 and 15:00.
Expect the venue to be filled with Minis, with enthusiasts travelling from far and wide to soak up the atmosphere. There will be opportunities to mingle with like-minded souls from Mini owners' clubs, browse Mini paraphernalia in the trade village, and get closer to the race cars in the open paddock as they are prepared for battle.
11-17 year-olds can get their first taste of being behind the wheel with the YoungDrive! taster sessions, sessions cost £30 and can be purchased on the day.
Visit the Oulton Park Mini Festival website to find out more!
Note: Due to the tragic accident involving a display airplane during the CarFest event last weekend, we have some traffic restrictions in place at Oulton Park for the next week. The main access road to the venue, Coach Road, has been closed off by the police.
As these access routes now run through our local villages could all drivers and riders please be courteous to our neighbours whilst negotiating these quiet villages.
Thank you for your understanding, and apologies for any inconvenience.
ADVANCE BOOKING HAS NOW CLOSED. TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE AT THE GATE.
