BARC Club Car Championships come to Oulton Park this Saturday (17 August) with a ten race schedule.
Most prominent will be the categories for Classic Formula Ford. In all there will be seven races for the traditional single-seater category. Classic Formula Ford 1600 will take pride of place with two heats, a repechage and a final all required to cater for the healthy entry list. On top of this there will be races from both the Pre '90 Formula Ford Series and the slicks and wings Classic Formula Ford 2000 categories.
Also on the bill will be the RAFMSA Race Challenge. This is a unique event in that it is designed to cater for service personnel who are limited to only a handful of race weekends a year. The grids are evenly matched and it provides a fair playing field for both veterans and novices alike to compete. As an added incentive this series also serves as an audition of sorts for potential team members for the Birkett 6 Hour Relay Race.
The day's proceedings will be capped of by the BARC NW 100km Race, this event closer is all about having fun and should be one of the more good natured races of the season!
The paddock will also be opening, allowing spectators to meet the drivers and teams as well as get a closer look at the cars. The new adventure playground will also be available so feel free to bring along the kids!ADVANCE BOOKING HAS NOW CLOSED. TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE AT THE GATE.
